Miss Hayes

Hello, my name is Catherine (Katie) Hayes. I am a 5th grade teacher at Erickson Elementary School! 

 

I began teaching at Erickson in 2016. During my time at Erickson, I have taught both Kindergarten (2016-2019) and 5th Grade (2019-Present). I attended Illinois State University and graduated in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I received my LBS1 Special Education endorsement in 2016 and my ESL endorsement in 2021. I am currently working toward a master's degree at National Louis University. 

 

When I am not teaching I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and exploring new places near where I live in Chicago. 

 

I am looking forward to an incredible year in 5th grade!
