Mrs. Volkman's Page

Hi! My name is Janeen Volkman and I teach Kindergarten at Erickson Elementary! I earned my undergraduate degree in both Elementary and Special Education from Illinois State University.  I also earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Illinois University. I have been a teacher at Erickson since 2001.

I love to connect with young learners in order to build a solid foundation of skills to carry them through their educational journey! Kindergarten is truly my favorite place to be, full of smiles, hugs and "aha! moments!"

My husband Karl is also a teacher in District 13! We have three children (Kaden, Tyler and Nora) and live in Batavia.
